With over 30 years of experience providing premium daylighting solutions across Britain in sectors ranging from education to retail and commercial and sport & leisure to heritage, we’re known for our high-performance products and services.
When we merged with Lareine Engineering in 2021, we combined our resources, expertise, and facilities to better serve clients throughout the UK and Ireland. This partnership has enabled us to expand our rooflight range, increase our production capacity, and reinforce our commitment to manufacturing exceptional products right here in Britain.
Quality in Every Product
Quality at Whitesales begins with our design and manufacturing process. From our headquarters in Cranleigh, Surrey, and manufacturing facilities in Livingston, Scotland, we manufacture most of our products, enabling us to maintain high standards and ensure alignment with British regulatory requirements. By keeping our operations local, we’re able to maintain closer oversight on each phase of development, from concept through to final installation.
Combining resources with Lareine Engineering has strengthened our manufacturing capabilities, drawing on Lareine’s vast expertise in rooflight design and engineering. This integration allows us to leverage our skilled craftsmanship to deliver solutions that perform exceptionally in diverse environments, from schools and hospitals to industrial facilities and residential projects.
The result? Products that are built to last, while meeting rigorous standards of safety, sustainability, and performance.
Designed for Durability, Engineered for Efficiency
A Whitesales product is more than just a rooflight, it’s a carefully crafted solution that’s designed to enhance buildings and benefit those who use them. Our rooflights and skylights are engineered for durability, energy efficiency, and high levels of natural light transmission, creating brighter and more inviting spaces.
During the design phase, our in-house team of experts uses advanced AutoCAD software to develop highly detailed plans for each product. These designs are tailored to specific project requirements and are produced to meet, if not exceed, UK Building Regulations. Working closely with architects, contractors, and project managers, we ensure that every specification, from U-values to glazing thickness, aligns with both regulatory and aesthetic needs.
We choose materials that will provide the best performance for our clients, including thermally broken aluminium frames that prevent heat loss, even in the notoriously harsh British weather. These frames are powder-coated for extra protection and are available in a range of RAL colours to meet design preferences. The glazing we use, whether glass or polycarbonate, is selected for its strength, thermal efficiency, and visual clarity, and we offer multiple options including double and triple glazing.
This all combines to achieve the right balance of energy efficiency and light transmission for each space.
To deliver on our commitment to manufacture products that perform reliably over time, an independent body carries out the testing of our products.
Our dedication to testing and compliance extends to custom projects as well. For clients in heritage or conservation areas, we offer bespoke solutions that are carefully designed to blend with traditional architecture while meeting modern performance requirements. These custom rooflights, often made for listed buildings, are crafted to replicate historical designs while using today’s materials and techniques to provide energy efficiency, safety, and durability.
Safety is another key aspect of our quality standards and Whitesales rooflights are non-fragile, making them safe for maintenance workers and installers. For high-traffic environments, such as schools and commercial spaces, this commitment to safety is especially important. For us quality isn’t just a promise, it’s a commitment to making sure each product performs reliably and enhances the spaces it serves. If you’re looking for premium rooflights, roof glazing expertly designed and manufactured in Britain, we’re here to help.
